Biography of
Kais Frihat

Kais Frihat is a professional bass guitarist who pursued his higher education at the Institut Supérieur de Musique de Tunis, where he obtained a fundamental master’s degree in music and musicology. Kais Frihat has taught in several private regional institutes and attended various workshops and academic coaching under the supervision of artists such as Richard Rousselet, Benoit Vanderstraten, Micheal Hatzigeorgio, Manuel Hermia, Pirly Zurstrassen and many others. Kais Frihat studied at the JAZZ-STUDIO Antwerpen (2016) and obtained a second bachelor’s degree (2021), as well as a master’s degree in jazz at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (2022). From an early age, he had the opportunity to take part in numerous regional and international festivals, such as the Carthage International Festival, Hammamet International Festival, TDX, Carthage Musical Days Festival, Brussels Jazz Weekend, Jazz Maghreb Days (FRA) and others. He has also performed with artists such as; Faya Younan, Wael Jassar, Abdulrahmen Mohamed, Low Deep T, Aytaç Doğan, Lobna Noomene etc. Kais Frihat is currently performing on the European scene.
