IXUS represents boldness and innovation in the world of jazz. By blending the diverse influences of its members, the quintet creates a dynamic, spellbinding musical fusion. Urban rhythms blend harmoniously with jazz improvisations to form a distinctive sound that captivates the audience.

It was during 2021 that the first sketches of Ixus took shape, after several confinements that proved to be a rather beneficial period for Pascal, who took advantage of this time of enforced immobility to pull his various compositions out of the drawers with the challenge of compiling them.

The challenge of mixing completely different styles and universes was considerable. The merit of these successive confinements is that they enabled Pascal to find the common thread that allowed him to transform this compilation into a diversified repertoire ready for the adventure of performing under the name IXUS.

On stage, the fusion of styles allows this dynamic quintet to achieve total osmosis, giving free rein to improvisation and the catchy melodies needed to create their own unique universe.Each member of the group brings his or her own personal magic and musical roots to the mix, creating an explosive cocktail of unforgettable jazz moments. A desire to promote relaxed, accessible jazz to connect with a wider audience is the basic philosophy behind the IXUS project.
